CPA Pocket Testament Appeal
At each of these events very large numbers of police officers will be on duty throughout, and the CPA has identified these events as wonderful opportunities to reach out to our police colleagues with the Gospel. To this end the CPA has decided to commission a new edition of the New Testament and Psalms specially for the Police with appropriate additional material. The idea is to have something that Christian officers can give to non-Christian colleagues at these events, a handy pocket sized version with information, articles and features tailored to meet the needs of police officers and staff.
As no such thing is currently available in this country this has been commissioned and designed from scratch, so we need to raise £20,000 to print 10,000 of these special Scriptures. Please help us to do so by making a donation to this worthy cause.
This of course can be done in an individual capacity, and I would urge everyone to do so, but I would also encourage you to consider asking your church or other Christian organisation you may be involved in to consider making a donation. I would like us as a branch to raise at least £500 - more if possible.
Please make all cheques payable to 'The Christian Police Association' and forward to me -

If you would prefer to pay by bank transfer please do so to -
Bank: Bank of Scotland
Account Name: Christian Police Association

Account Number: 00844287
(if doing so please notify me by email if you have made a donation and how much).
The CPA has taken the decision to act in faith and has proceeded with this project. The response so far has been fantastic with half the target sum already raised.
Please consider supporting this most worthy cause.
Thank you and God bless,
Harry
